Spring 2026 Cohort
We selected 10 engineers from over 1,300 considered and 50 in-person conversations.

Career Outcomes
Here’s the difference side by side:
| N2O student | Non-N2O student | |
|---|---|---|
| Portfolio | Shipped AI systems for multi $B+ companies and the Pentagon. Resume writes itself. | Built a todo list app. Struggles to fill a resume. |
| Mentorship | Weekly code and design reviews from the former CTO of Risk at Goldman Sachs. Direct Slack access to senior engineers. | Gets feedback from a TA. |
| Tools & Edge | Way better at using modern tools. Worked inside a $500,000+ AI R&D stack with frontier models, custom infra, and real deployment pipelines. | Scrolls Hacker News, follows Karpathy on Twitter. Never shipped anything with production AI tooling. |
Note: N2O is not an internship. It’s a paid, selective engineering team you join while still in school.
Real AI systems for real users.
GenAI deployments, machine learning, data science, and some web work around those systems. We’re the team for people like the #2 AI leader in the Pentagon and for billion‑dollar companies. You work on things real users touch, not fake class projects.
Any strong CS or technical student.
We encourage first‑years who want to start early and fourth‑years who want to finish with the strongest possible portfolio and references, but students in the middle years apply and get in too.
Remote‑first, so you can work from school.
We also run in‑person events and trips (for example, going to Florida to go shooting with the ex‑head trainer of PsyOps).
Yes — Tier‑1s are super competitive, and getting one is only half the battle.
You want to not just have a Tier‑1, but keep it and be the best person on your team. N2O ensures you’re the best person there. Nobody else on your team will have shipped for the Pentagon, trained under a Goldman CTO, or worked inside a $500k+ AI R&D stack before day one.
All of our current engineers are working more than 25 hours/week while still taking 15+ credits.
Projects for exceptionally important people can’t be done in 5 hours a week. Think that’s impossible with your schedule? Wiley (our founder) worked 65 hours/week on AltRebal (sold) and WhiskeyBarrels.com ($1.5B+/year in volume) while graduating Phi Beta Kappa. If you want to stand out and treat N2O as a top priority, it’s hard but doable. If you want a chill campus job, it isn’t a fit.
